The Chainbridge Hotel takes its name from the historic river crossing next to the hotel building itself. The original bridge was built in 1814 by a local entrepreneur named Exuperius Pickering to take advantage of the new A5. The bridge that occupies the site now is a later construction and the subject of a major restoration project, which will see the bridge open to the public once more.
The Bryn Howel Hotel gives you the chance to brush shoulders with the stars as the hotel has been the favourite of many high profile celebrities over the years - Harrison Ford, Shirley Bassey and Bryn Terfel are some of the names, whilst the late Pavarotti even has a suite named after him after his stay in 1995!
The Wild Pheasant is well within walking distance of the town and has built an excellent reputation for quality accommodation, food and its Spa and hair dressing arm known as Impressions. If it's a bit of history your after then there are Llangollen's original coaching hotels, built to cater for the stage and postal traffic running through the town prior to the building of Telford's A5 between 1815 - 1830. The Hand Hotel and the Royal Hotel are two excellent examples.
